Important Info
Here are four important things for you to know about all payments you make to Labor's campaign, in any one financial year:
- If you make a payment to Labor's campaign through this website, we are using the trusted payments provider Paypal, and your receipt will be in the name of our Paypal account.
- Your donations up to $1,500 are tax deductible, provided that they are of more than $2 and are a donation of money - donations in kind and donations made in a will are not covered by this rule, but donations of some kinds of property are covered.
- Your payments totalling LESS than $10,500 are NOT disclosed in any public return i.e. they are kept confidential - some donations in kind are included in this total, but volunteer labour is not counted.
- If your payments (including donations in kind) total more than $10,500:
- The Australian Labor Party will be required to disclose your payment, and
- You will be required to complete a report to the Australian Electoral Commission
